This is a Build, Own, Operate project where MRD obtains their revenue from the recovery of the Vanadium. This is an initial 5 year project, with options to extend. Commissioning began in November 2005 with the plant now at full production and achieving quality specifications. MRD operate and maintain this plant.

PGM FROM SLAG RECOVERY PLANT (OPERATIONAL)
MRD were successful in the bid to design and construct a PGM from slag recovery plant for Northam Platinum. The plant will treat up to 28,000tpm of reclaimed slag and current arisings, through a mill and flotation plant constructed adjacent to the slag dump.
The plant is commissioned, at full tonnage, and is being staffed and managed by MRD.

INJULA MINING OPERATIONS CRUSHER PLANT
MRD won an Operating and Maintenance Contract for an initial 12 month period to Re-furbish, Operate and Maintain a 100 000 ton per month Coal Crushing Plant on behalf of INJULA MINING OPERATIONS at New Vaal Colliery. The Operation comprises the Crushing and screening of -300mm Run of Mine Coal, delivered on a stockpile, to deliver an end product of -50mm Coal to New Vaal Colliery. The Production is done on a 24 hour basis 365 days per year.
DESIGN OF A 250 TON PER MONTH COPPER RECOVERY FACILITY
MRD is contracted to design and construct a processing facility to produce 250 tons of Copper Metal per month utilising revolutionary new technology patented by the Client.
